Every month the Arizona Center for Germanic Cultures presents a movie dinner theater hosted at a local establishment with ties to the Germanic Community in Arizona.

Nominated for Best Foreign Language Film, Beyond Silence is a warm, sincere look at a musical prodigy's struggle with her parent's handicap. Both her parents are deaf-mute and Lara has to translate from sign-language to the spoken word and vice versa. She becomes interested in music and starts to play clarinet very successfully. However her parents are deaf, they cannot share Lara's musical career. The day comes when Lara has to decide between her parents and her own ambitions.

We suggest a donation of $8 for non-members and $5 for members to the AC4GC.  Enjoy prepackaged snacks and drinks for sale.
